A hamsters playtime

Every species of hamster are active and lively and they love to venture and explore. Every hamster has these needs and its your job to make sure he/she has stuff to do with his/her passtime. There are many ways you can entertain your hamster and let your hamster entertain you.

The most common form of exercise and fun for a hamster is a hamster wheel. A hamster wheel is easy to setup and is inexpensive, you can give your hamster hours of fun and exercise running round the wheel. Often hamster will have their own routine and spend hours a day using a wheel. This is a must for ALL cages.

Another accessory that is recommended is a exercise ball as it give your hamster not only exercise but time outside of the cage which makes an ideal opportunity if you want to clean your hamsters cage. This is a plastic sphere that you put your hamster in and he can freely run around your house in it. Its VERY IMPORTANT that you do not leave your hamster in there for more than 30minutes because he will over excerise which is unhealthy.

Other toys and objects hamsters seem to love gnawing blocks, these are also great for keeping your hamsters front incisors in shape. It is also good for your hamster to gnaw on blocks as opposed to fingers.

A play pen or box can provide, like a hamster ball, a opportunity for your hamster to have time outside the cage aswell it can offer time for you to clean the cage.
